Our extraordinary exhibition brings together original, hand-written icons created by modern-day artists preserving the centuries-old Byzantine style.

AGIOS: Communion of Saints is a landmark 2026 exhibition featuring a breathtaking collection of original icons. Created by the dedicated students of the Classical Iconography Institute, these works bridge the gap between ancient tradition and modern scholarship, proving that the study of religion is a vivid, transformative, and deeply aesthetic experience.

Whether you are a scholar of religion, an art lover, or a curious traveler, AGIOS invites you to explore the intersection of beauty and tradition. Experience how gold leaf, egg tempera, and ancient techniques can create a modern-day encounter with the holy.

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, there will be a live painting demonstration from one of the Institute鈥檚 iconographers during the Abbey鈥檚 Saint Benedict Festival.

The exhibition will conclude with a public closing reception on Sunday, August 2, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

In a world where the power of music can inspire and cultivate excellence, the Young Voices of the Philippines (YVP) stands as a beacon of hope and creativity for countless children. This scholarship choir program, performing under the Treble Choir Association of the Philippines (TCAP), founded by Dr. Maria Theresa Vizconde-Roldan and Prof. Jude B. Roldan, has transformed lives by nurturing not only musical talent but also the holistic development of its young members.

About the Young Voices of the Philippines

YVP provides a unique space where children from diverse backgrounds come together, forging meaningful connections through their shared love for music. Here, they hone their skills, discover their voices, and create lasting friendships, all while engaging in rehearsals, performances, and festivals that celebrate their hard work and dedication.

In 2023, YVP made history by becoming the first choir from the Philippines to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall’s Isaac Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.聽 In addition to this historic performance in the USA, YVP also won multiple first prizes at the 12th Golden Gate International Choral Festival USA. They received four first-prize trophies across the Youth Choir Historical, Folk, Gospel/Spiritual, and Contemporary Categories.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) awarded YVP the 2024 ANI NG DANGAL (Harvest of Honors). This award is given to artists and cultural workers who have earned the top international awards and accolades and whose works and achievements have placed the Philippines among the best in the world. Furthermore, YVP sang at the inaugural World Children鈥檚 Day in Rome and had the privilege to sing and bless Pope Francis in Da Piazza San Pietro.

Retreat with Fr. John Paul Le, OSB

This retreat will be an introduction to the three ages of the spiritual life as articulated by the great mystics of the Church and summarized in Garrigou-Lagrange鈥檚聽The Three Ages of the Spiritual Life.聽This retreat will go over the process of spiritual growth from the purgative stage to the illuminative stage and finally to the unitive stage. The basic markers of each phase will be addressed as well as the challenges that need to be overcome. By learning about the stages of spiritual growth, one can deepen one鈥檚 life in the spirit and grow deeper in聽intimate union with Christ.

Fr. John Paul was born in 1983 in Garden City Kansas, but most of his childhood was spent on the Southeast Texas coast, where his parents fished for shrimp. They immigrated from Vietnam in 1980. In 1997, his family moved to Washington state where he attended Southridge High School in Kennewick, WA.聽 He received his B.S. in Life-Science from the University of Portland. After graduation, he did volunteer work in East Timor and Texas with the Salesians. Fr. John Paul entered the monastery of 91自拍 in 2008 and was ordained to the Sacred Order of the priesthood in 2015. He currently serves in the monastery in various capacities, which include being Subprior, Abbot鈥檚 Secretary, Oblate Director, Seminary Professor and Locksmith

We are delighted to gather with you here in the beautiful and serene setting of Mount Angel, Oregon, for a celebration of music that transcends time. Inspired by the enduring brilliance of Johann Sebastian Bach, this festival brings together artists and audiences in a shared experience of artistry, reflection, and connection.

This season, we are honored to welcome an exceptional roster of performers, including award winning Cerus Saxophone Quartet, internationally renowned Galvin Cello Quartet and In Mulieribus Choir among others. Their artistry and distinct musical voices promise to bring both depth and vibrancy to this year鈥檚 festival, offering fresh perspectives on Bach鈥檚 timeless works and the music inspired by his legacy.

Throughout the concerts, you will hear works that expand our experience and imagination across centuries and styles. Each performance is an invitation to listen deeply, to be moved, and to experience the profound beauty of live music in a place where tradition and community meet.
